Marcia S. DeMille, 66, passed away May 12, 2010, in Virginia Beach, VA.
She was born January 17, 1944, in Norfolk, VA. Marcia graduated from Princess Anne High School in 1961 finishing sixth in her class. She then proceeded to Longwood College and completed her education there in 1965 with a B.A. degree. Marcia earned her Masters degree from East Carolina University in 1967.
After raising four sons with Frank, she taught home bound students in the Virginia Beach School System for several years. To keep her mind mentally sharp, she would read over one hundred books per year, often completing them sitting under live oak trees in her Ocean Park neighborhood while greeting passer-bys with a smile and a wave.
Above all, she was a loving wife and devoted mother who wanted to leave this world with a smile on her face, knowing that her sons were successful happy college graduates while pursuing their own different paths of life-long achievements and embracing their own particular interests.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Frank R. DeMille; her sons, Dustin A. DeMille of Tampa, FL, Randall F. DeMille of Virginia Beach, VA, Thomas B. DeMille, wife Melanie and their daughter, Ashley of Virginia Beach, VA and Daniel L. DeMille, wife WErica and their son, Tyler of Fairfax, VA; her brother, Stephen A. Siegfried, partner Carolyn Sharp and their son Alex of Richmond, VA. She was predeceased by her mother, Vivian M. Siegfreid; father, Floyd A. Siegfried; and brother, Robert Brooks Siegfried. She is also survived by her loving relatives and friends.
