Holloman-Brown Bayside Chapel did a superb job guiding my family through a recent funeral (Dec 2019). Mr. Chris Cook patiently walked my sisters and I through the myriad of decisions that must be made for a funeral, explaining everything clearly, without pushing us in any particular direction. He exhibited compassion and was extremely helpful and organized. The staff at Bayside Chapel were also very helpful and respectful, and our visitation and actual graveside service was wonderful. Mr. Cook cannot guarantee perfect weather, but everything else was perfect. I'm submitting this testimonial for someone who is confronted with an unplanned funeral and is looking at reviews or testimonials for a decent funeral chapel to turn to. My brother, Phil, died suddenly in February 2019. As my sister and I both live in New Jersey, and my brother lived in Norfolk for many years, we wanted to have a memorial service there, so that his many friends could come to celebrate his life with us. Because we do not live in the area, we needed to pull everything together quickly. Hollomon-Brown (on Tidewater) helped us to get everything together in one afternoon. My brother's friends made some plans of their own, once we told them when and where the service would be. It ended up being a much bigger and livelier celebration than we dould have imagined, but Hollomon-Brown was incredibly flexible and accommodating, and made everything work. Just to give a brief picture of the memorial, there were over 100 people came, plus 20+ acoustic musician friends, who played for over an hour. Even though it was all last minute, they made sure that it was a night that everyone will cherish and remember. Thank you to the wonderful staff of Hollomon-Brown for turning a tragic time into a time to remember.

We lost my father, Paul Evans in November of 2018. Through this very difficult time, the staff at Hollomon Brown was incredibly kind and supportive. I would like to specifically thank Vinnie for the undivided attention he afforded my entire family through this process. Vinnie literally accounted for everything - including those things we could not have predicted. In the end, my mother said that the services provided by Hollomon Brown were perfect. The result was that may father got exactly the kind of send off he had hoped for. Knowing that actually helps to ease some of the pain of the loss. I thank the entire staff, and will certainly recommend your services to other friends and family in times of need. Well done.
