Obituary for Kenneth H. Hall

Kenneth H. Hall, age 89, of Virginia Beach, VA, passed away peacefully at his home on December 26, 2017.

Ken was a native of Pennsylvania and moved to Virginia Beach almost 25 ago after retiring from Great Valley School District as Director of Buildings and Grounds. Ken loved woodworking. He was a master craftsman and loved going to his shop creating many things from wood ranging from furniture to his signature cutting boards, trivets, jewelry boxes, toys for his great grandchildren, etc. Ken was also a volunteer for many years at the Virginia Aquarium where he helped in making new exhibits. He also served on the Board of his Condo Association for many years. Ken was loved by all who met him. He was truly a kind, gentle, humble man.

Ken was predeceased by his wife of 71 years, Doris Hall. He is also survived by his two children, Mindy Williams (Bill), Steve Hall (Midge), four grandchildren, Ben Williams (TJ), Casey Williams (Katie), Cassandra Hall and Jessi Hall, and three great grandchildren, Devin, Easton and Libby.

Services for Ken will be private, immediate family only. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to his favorite charity, the Virginia Beach SPCA. Ken loved his “critters.” Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel assisting the family. Condolences may be offered to the family at
