Obituary for Carl Jack D'Ambrosio

Carl Jack D’Ambrosio, 69, of Virginia Beach, VA, passed away November 23, 2018.

He was born in April 1949 to Carmine and Bertha D’Ambrosio of Brooklyn, New York.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Angela; brothers, John (wife Pamela) and Nickolas (wife Joann); sons, Christopher D’Ambrosio and Sean Van Dendries; and daughter, Danielle Price (husband Paul). Proud Pop of Justin, Meagan, Anastasia, Gerald, Emily and Xavier. He had one great grand- daughter Ava.

His loves included listening to jazz, dancing with his wife, fishing, gardening and spending lots of time with family. Carl graduated Manhattan College where he played the saxophone in the marching band fueling his life- long love of jazz. He owned and operated Chain Store Securities in New York for over 30 years and proudly served as a Major in the United States Army Reserve for 23 years. It was during an Army training weekend in Virginia that he met his wife Angela and was happily married for 23 years. Carl was a good man who had a magnetic personality, a kind heart, was loved by all and will never be forgotten.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church by Rev. Fr. Cristiano Brito, O.S.B. Arrangements are by Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel.
