Resided in Virginia Beach, VA
Tom retired after a 32 year career with the government at Naval Aviation Depot, Norfolk. His lifelong passion was fishing, boating and being on the water. He was an avid fisherman, garnering many awards and citations over the years.
Mr. Everett is survived by his wife and best friend of 36 years, Diane Everett. Also left to cherish his memory is his sister, Sue Everett of Portsmouth, VA; brother, Robert Everett of Portsmouth, VA; brother, John Everett of Harrisburg; 2 step-sons; 2 sisters- in- law; 1 brother-in-law; and other extended family and friends.
We will celebrate the home-going of Tom at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 1500 Sewells Pt. Rd, Norfolk, where Tom's been a member for 11 years. The service will be held Jan. 20, 2014, 11:00 a.m., Pastor Fred Braswell presiding. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Cedar Rd., Chesapeake is handling the arrangements.
