Obituary for Thaddeaus M. Hawkins

Thaddeaus M. Hawkins, 90, of Virginia Beach, VA, passed away February 3, 2018.

Born in Cedar Grove, NC, he was a U.S. Navy veteran and retired as a Food Broker from Swift & Company. Thad was an avid golfer and member of Suburban Christian Church of Virginia Beach.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty W. Hawkins. Left to cherish his memory: his wife, Maybelle Conboy-Hawkins; two daughters, Lu Donahue and husband, John, and Amy Waldrop and fiancé, Vernon White; three grandchildren, Devon and Shawn Donahue and Danielle Waldrop; a niece, Susan Rimmer; a nephew, Keith Hawkins; step-sons, Mark, Steve, Thomas, and Richard Conboy and their families.

The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel on Monday, Feb. 5, 2018, from 6 to 7 p.m. followed by funeral service at 7 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018, at Walnut Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery, Hurdle Mills, NC.
